Healing has been provided for you through Jesus’ complete work! Healing and health belong to you. God has graciously given it to you, now it’s yours for the taking.
Ephesians 2:8 ESV
“For by grace you have been saved (healed) through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God”
The word “saved” comes from the Greek word “sozo” which can also be defined as “healed, delivered, prospered and made whole.” This reveals salvation as more than just forgiveness of sins but that it includes healing. Ephesians 2:8 shows us that salvation (and healing) has been provided for by God’s grace, now we need to receive it by faith. Faith isn’t complicated. It’s simply a positive response (receiving) what God has already provided. The more you are convinced of the Father’s grace, the easier it will be for you to receive. So keep focused on His goodness and love for you, and you’ll see your faith work (Galatians 5:6).
Romans 10:9 KJV
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
This scripture shows us clearly that in order to experience salvation (or healing) we must respond to God through heart belief and mouth confession. “Confess” means to acknowledge. In order to be saved or healed, we must acknowledge Jesus as Supreme and above all. Acknowledge Him as the Healer. He is God and He is above whatever sickness could come against you. He is above all and has the highest authority. To acknowledge Him as Lord also means to recognize that He is your caretaker; He is the One who has taken care of your every (health) need by lavishly providing for it.
Ephesians 1:3 KJV
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”
You have been blessed (past tense) with all spiritual blessings (including healing).
1 Peter 1:3 shows us that through the resurrection of Christ we are born again. I believe that “believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead” means to believe (be convinced) that through Jesus’ resurrection you’re made a new creation. In Christ you are a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Because of Jesus’ victory, and because you’re in Him, you’re a new creation. One translation says that you’re a “new species”. Most believers don’t really believe that much happened to them through the resurrection but the truth is that in Christ you are a completely new person. This new species is not subject to sickness and disease. This new creation is no longer dominated by sin or sickness. The old way of life (being dominated by sin and sickness) has passed away and now there is a new way!
1 John 5:1 ESV
“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God…”
If you’re a believer, you’ve been born of God.
1 John 5:4-5 ESV
“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
If you’re born of God, you’re a world-overcomer with world-overcoming faith! You’re not struggling for faith. You’re not striving to overcome. You have world-overcoming faith and you have overcome the world. You have overcome the elements of the world (sin and sickness)!
Everything reproduces after its own kind. Plants reproduce plant life. Animals reproduce animal life. Humans reproduce humans. But if you’re a believer, you’re born of God. That means that you have God’s life inside of you. You are not “normal.”
Romans 8:11 ESV
“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”
That’s supernatural! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, the resurrection life and power of God, has taken residence in you (lives in you) and is giving life (and healing) to your mortal body. You are not like everyone else in the world, you of the same class as God: you are a world-overcomer! You are not subject to sin or sickness – you’re born-again a victor over sin and sickness! Hallelujah!
1 John 4:4 ESV
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Greater is He in you than he that is in the world! You have the Healer living in you. How can sickness triumph over you? You’re bigger than sickness! The reason so many do not experience this is because they do not recognize it, or do not believe it.
SAY IT OUT ALOUD: I acknowledge Jesus as my Healer. I acknowledge that He is above any and every sickness. God is my caretaker: He has lavishly provided for any need I could ever have. He has given healing to me. I have the healing I need, in the Name of Jesus! I recognize that I am a new creation. I am not subject to sin and sickness. I am born of God. I am a world-overcomer. I have the life and power of God in me. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me, and gives life and healing to my mortal body. I am victorious because I am born of God; He lives in me and greater is He in me than anything in the world!
